Create Accounts for All Users
It is expected that your company will use one of the supported SSO methods for authentication.
Instructions to set up SSO can be found by clicking
(while in Costpoint) and navigating to the Technical Guides section. You do not need to set up all your users in User Manager if you are planning to use SSO for authentication.Any user who require s Citrix access is required to have User Manager credentials. This should be a limited number of users in your company who require Citrix access. Citrix is require if the user plans to access the CER Framework models, use SQL Server Management Studio, or access the Development tools in the Development Environment.
If your company is unable to use SSO, you should set up all your employees with User Manager credentials. Please follow the steps below.
As the SaaS Customer Administrator, you have administrator rights to User Manager.
Here, you can create, modify, and disable user accounts for all employees in your company. You will be required to setup Two Factor Authentication to access User Manager.
Once users have activated their accounts, they can use their username and password to access all Costpoint applications in the cloud.
Before You Begin
When you create an account in User Manager, an email is automatically generated and sent to the user. The user must follow the instructions in the email to activate their account.
